Preston's Baptism Day-

July 18th was Preston's baptism day- so very sweet.   He is a kind and helpful little man.  We love him so.

Here are a few pictures from his special day.

(missing Mason...he left before we caught him for a picture.)

• The Aaronic Priesthood holds the keys of baptism by immersion for the remission of sins:D&C 13:1;
• They are they who are ordained of me to baptize in my name:D&C 18:29;

• Children shall be baptized for the remission of their sins when eight years old:D&C 68:25, 27;

Covenants made through baptism

• Ye have entered into a covenant with him that ye will serve him and keep his commandments: Mosiah 18:8–10, 13;
• Those who repent, take on Christ’s name, and determine to serve him shall be received by baptism:D&C 20:37;

The day was sweet and  it was so wonderful to see everyone that came to support this little family.    

Very thankful for this darling little family.

Girls day out and Birthday Celebrations

 

 

Last week was a week of celebrations!  Birthdays and girls day out.

First - Girls day out.

Each year I get the older girls together,  to spend the day doing something fun. ( my two nieces and Carlee, wishing Anna lived closer.)

This Year-

 

Lunch and an afternoon at the theater-  in Sonora 

The production was awesome....we had great seats, center second row. 

These girls are so darling....I just love being around them!  What a fun day!

 Carlee and Alene are birthday twins....Both were born on the 20th!  Carlee turned 9 and Alene 1.

Miss Tomato Queen and Tiny Miss

Carlee and Audrey all dressed up and ready for the tomato festival....They competed in a Little Miss Tomato pageant.  (in our area we are known for all the tomatoes we grow}

Carlee is a "Tomato Fairy" and Audrey is "Tomato Girl"  They had to come dressed representing a tomato in some way.

They were being judged on Talent, costume and modeling/poise (Carlee's group-the older girls also had a small speech they gave.)

 (Audrey's group didn't do a talent just the other two areas)

They were adorable on stage.   Audrey won in her group as "Tiny Miss"  Carlee won with the highest over all points, making her "Miss Tomato Queen."

Sisters 

Carlee comment to me after she won- "I didn't think I would win, I was so surprised."  I knew Audrey would win because she is beautiful and fun. "  Oh sweet Carlee, always so kind.

(prize gifted $50 for Audrey and $100 for Carlee. Heidi asked Preston if he wanted to be in the pageant and he said no...after he found out what the girls won...I think he was a little sad.)

While I was taking pictures of the girls...Cole wanted to get in on the action...he was so adorable to his sisters.....he doesn't say much but he shows his love with lots of hugs.

Nut House and the New Robot-

We have a new Robot at the Nut house (we call our Nut processing Plant...the Nut house. =) she is getting a lot of attention lately!

Sam even went to "Robot" school back East this summer to learn how to keep her up and running.

She is going to be a hugh help...but more on that later.

I stopped in at the Nut house today to see what the guys were up to... each year they take apart the equipment clean it and then put it back together....a BIG project!

Today...still working on putting things back together....

They also do a lot of building and fabricating to get things to work just right. 

Everything is starting to come together!  Which means.....Nut Season is just around the corner....Planning to start in September. 

Some may think that our work ends when Nut Season is over...but really...it never ends....just slows down a tiny bit. (love seeing these men work together.)

And a lot of his work is done in here too!

Happy Monday-

Happy Monday- the weekend has come and gone....and we are on to another week.

It's May already....Heavens, where did April go?!

Alene turned two weeks old on Sunday.

Carlee and Audrey has 3 dance performances, 2 at the county fair and one  in parade.

(Audrey's bunny ears were on backwards....didn't seem to bother her at all}

Question to Carlee- "How did you do in the Parade?"

Carlee-  "it was really good to get my nerviness out...I even started to tear up a little in front of the Judges, but then I told myself it was okay...and I was better after that."

Each week there is a new flowering surprise-  in the Garden- Jackmani Clematis Flowering Vine
