Last week was filled to over flowing with blessings! Two new grand-babies in one week! Lincoln on Monday and then Ayden came to us last Thursday!
The day I left for Texas (more on that later) was the day Ayden joined us! Happy Day!
Mason, Alene and Ayden....he is a tiny little guy...just over 6 lbs.
We are so very happy and so grateful that he is here safe and sound.

I have been planning a simple little pop up baby shower for Jessica. Bree and Jessica are due about the same time and both are expecting boys.
We had a nice fancy shower for Bree......and had a big fancy shower for Jessica's first child.
(I do fancy for the first...pop up for all the others....I only have so much energy=)
But we do want to show a little love for the sweet little boy coming to our family.
We planned to meet at a local restaurant for breakfast.
These bibs were tried to the backs of the chairs.
I used a couple candle sticks to tie the banners to.....for the center of the table.

Last week was a week of celebrations! Birthdays and girls day out.
First - Girls day out.
Each year I get the older girls together, to spend the day doing something fun. ( my two nieces and Carlee, wishing Anna lived closer.)
This Year-
Lunch and an afternoon at the theater- in Sonora
The production was awesome....we had great seats, center second row.
These girls are so darling....I just love being around them! What a fun day!

Carlee and Alene are birthday twins....Both were born on the 20th! Carlee turned 9 and Alene 1.

This week I was lucky enough to be able to spend a whole day with Jessica and Alene- It was going to be a shopping/baking/being together kind of day.
The mall was full of Halloween and Fall inspiration. Fun!
We walked around looking at everything...then had lunch together at the Marketplace cafe.
Then once we were home...Jessica started baking, while I watched Alene-

Alene loves her Mommy....she loves to sit by her with her little arm wrapped around the back of Jessica's arm....and every once in awhile she would nuzzle her little nose into Jessica's arm and just smile.
We watched a show together and then ended the night with dinner out ...Mexican style.

We have a new Robot at the Nut house (we call our Nut processing Plant...the Nut house. =) she is getting a lot of attention lately!
Sam even went to "Robot" school back East this summer to learn how to keep her up and running.
She is going to be a hugh help...but more on that later.
I stopped in at the Nut house today to see what the guys were up to... each year they take apart the equipment clean it and then put it back together....a BIG project!
Today...still working on putting things back together....
They also do a lot of building and fabricating to get things to work just right.
Everything is starting to come together! Which means.....Nut Season is just around the corner....Planning to start in September.
Some may think that our work ends when Nut Season is over...but really...it never ends....just slows down a tiny bit. (love seeing these men work together.)
And a lot of his work is done in here too!

We had the wonderful opportunity to gather as a family to support Mason and Jessica in the blessing of Alene.
Mason and Jessica are sweet parents. They were so very excited to share this day with their family.
We were excited too.
Alene received the sweetest blessing from her Father. What a joy for us to be there.
After Church we headed back to Jessica and Mason's home for a little "Blessing Party"

Pieces of Alene - in Mason and Jessica's back yard is a cute little summer house...we decorated it for the gathering. Using pictures of Alene and purple tissue balls....Keeping it simple.
She was a doll. She Pretty much slept through the whole thing.

Alene- so many pieces to love.
Family reunion- coming in June.... we are going to love every piece of it! Happy June!
Theme- Growing since 1978- "The sun always shines above the clouds"
The divine home we will be staying at, is named- "Above the clouds" ( we are so excited!)
As a young adult one of the many different jobs I held was at a sewing factory- as part of our wage we received a bonus for each of the correctly completed pieces we sewed together daily. The more pieces we produced, the more we were paid.
One day- it was my responsibility to put the "zipper" on two pieces of fabric...which would become a pair of shorts.
I quickly went about my work....sewing as fast as I could...putting together the three pieces , hoping to have a big pile done by the end of the day.
Mid-day my pile was huge! I was the envy of all the other ladies next to me (and I have to say I was sitting pretty tall and pleased with myself....thinking I was all that.)
Then it happened....my bubble busted. I had sewn all the zippers on up side-down! (you see... I was in such a hurry to win the zipper count that I did little to pay attention to that little piece of detail-the blue dot that let me know which way was the top...I could just kick my 18 year old self}
Now, before I could leave...I had to fix them all!
So, I began to correct my mistake- I didn't blame the few ladies that laughed at me, and the couple who even seemed a little mad.....but I will never forget the sweet little older lady that stayed and help me take apart the pieces of the zipper and put them back together.
She didn't have to...she didn't get paid anything extra. I just love that she showed me kindness...even when she really had no reason to.
I love all the pieces of my life...even the ones that are hard....and I believe there is a special place in Heaven for those who show kindness with no expectation of a reward.
I learned that day that pieces and kindness matters.

Happy Monday- the weekend has come and gone....and we are on to another week.
It's May already....Heavens, where did April go?!
Alene turned two weeks old on Sunday.
Carlee and Audrey has 3 dance performances, 2 at the county fair and one in parade.
(Audrey's bunny ears were on backwards....didn't seem to bother her at all}
Question to Carlee- "How did you do in the Parade?"
Carlee- "it was really good to get my nerviness out...I even started to tear up a little in front of the Judges, but then I told myself it was okay...and I was better after that."
