Today I felt a deep reverence for both the creation and the Creator.
With demanding routines of everyday life I quietly forget sometimes to observe God’s miracles taking place around me.
Today as I drove home from Church- the foothills stood out like a green emerald island- with fluffy white clouds hanging low….and little windows of bright light shinning down on them like a spotlight from heaven, making the green all the more brilliant.
I wanted to stop and stand on top of my car so I could take a picture of all that wonder, but I didn’t; my heart swelled up in thanks to a Loving Heavenly Father for such a sight. {I just wanted to do a standing ovation right there, but I didn’t; words of thanks were said aloud.}
When thru the woods and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees,
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze,
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee,
How great thou art! How great thou art!
I know that God created this earth and the universe. I know that we are his children wherever we live on the earth, without regard to our nationality or the color of our skin. Most important, I know that God lives and is the Creator of us all.
O Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds thy hands have made,
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy pow’r thru out the universe displayed;
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to thee,
How great thou art! How great thou art!
