I've finally found the energy to post a little about Thanksgiving 2016. We had a wonderful time. Each of my children and grandchildren were there with the exception of Mason and Jessica and kids...they had made prier arrangements to have Thanksgiving with Jessica's family.
Kent and Family came in early from Utah and were a great help in getting the house ready...and helped with the cooking.
Shannon and family came in a few day before Thanksgiving....she planned, cooked, made assignments, set the table well she did everything while I just sat there.
Sam made awesome desserts for Thanksgiving, Denver and Bree helped with appetizers, Kent and Becca made an awesome sweet potato casserole and Scott helped with some of the entertainment....Thanksgiving morning Turkey bowl.
They all worked together to make this Thanksgiving wonderful. I love them all for all their work.
I have to say....it was very surreal for me....just sitting there and watching...and not helping one bit! Crazy, but love that they worked together and make our Thanksgiving wonderful!
I love my Family!
Below I will share a few pictures from our day.
Kent
The whole day before Thanksgiving Shannon was in the kitchen cooking- bless her!
Scott arranged a early morning Turkey bowl with the kids....donuts as a reward.
The kids spent the day riding bikes around the house, painting with chalk and hiding away in the secret playroom. (when they were up there we didn't even know they were around =)
The kids pretty much covered every inch of cement with chalk art...sweet! After dinner we also had a friendly family competition...using a giant sling, potatoes were thrown.....way across the back of our probably...fun times.
More food-
Sam took great effort to make some of my favorite desserts! They were so divine! Love you Sam!
I tried to get a picture of each of the families while here....sorry I picked a sunny spot- making it hard to open their eyes-
