Things are moving along with the framing.... starting to take shape! Happy Day
The view from the upstairs larger bedroom. (the parents room) The bright green area.... the golf course.
The retaining wall is also coming along....sweet Happy Day! We have been so worried that we would get a big storm and that hill would come down on our home.
Hoping by this weekend that the block will all be installed....it will still need to be filled with cement and back filled with dirt. Update- the block on this wall is now done...just waiting for cement and dirt back fill.
The front of the house. I know it is hard to determine where the roof line is going.

6 dormers, the tower and a few interior framing items are still needing to be done and then the framers will be finished. The windows are being delivered this week and hoping that the roof is made weather tight. (smile)
This home has 5 separate roof structures. The living room has it own roof- the theater room, kitchen, upstairs back rooms and the tower- which is the stair case. To give you a better idea...it is like 5 mini houses that are glued together. (smile)

Treasure hunting for Poppy Hill-

This is want happens when you sell your home and all the furniture inside.
I have a little dilemma- Do I add the front missing leaf? (see it laying up against the box.) or refinish as is?
I'm thinking of painting the top a light chocolate and the bottom a vintage buff.
I just like the legs so much...hate to cover them up.
But then again if I put the other leaf in ....it would make a good nightstand in the upstairs bed room....where the leaf could be extended as needed for guest to use.....what to do, what to do?
or I could do something like this....

Warehouse shopping-
A good friend told us about a Restoration Hardware warehouse sale...where everything was marked down 50-85% ...sweet happy day. We found a few things to bring home!

Random thought...that just popped into my head....You know the HGTV dream home....and how the designer buy all the furniture and decorations for the whole house....crazy fun....but oh my tons of work...finding just the right pieces....I feel a little like that...well not just like that...
I don't have their budget
and I'm spending my own money....so ....no playing around. (smile)
What would you do if someone bought your home and all the furniture and decorations....would you be happy or crazy stressed?
We have a sofa, bed, mirror and table for the house now.....I plan to kind of stop there until we move in...I want to get a feel for the space before I get more big items. Unless.... I come across something cute at a vintage sale. (smile)
