What a difference a day makes- one day we have a wood pile......the next day....
and then the next day....
It is getting real around here....they have started to frame the first floor....can't wait to see how this all changes when the second floor goes on!
and our roof is a beast at 12/12 !
It has been fun for me the last couple of days to walk through the first floor and image how and where I will be putting things...fun.
and talk about things for the house...I found a couple of treasures the other day at a sidewalk sale-
I'm on the hunt for vintage gilded mirrors for the bathrooms.... and this cow who could pass her up? Now known as Gilda....well, she was just too adorable to pass up. Happy Day!
(hard to tell from the picture...but this mirror weights a ton!...you would think it was real gold.)
me standing in the entry. (smile)
Dan and I took on the job of keeping the job site clean....helps us feel connected to the project and saves money... which is good.
Preston goes with us each weekend to clean up...here he is with a box of spent nails he picked up from the job site. (he is an awesome helper ...just gets in there and works hard....we have milk shakes after.) I'm a firm believer that grammers and papas can do more then just play with their grandchildren...work is good too.
Our home is a Jack Arnold plan....brought to California engineering code by The Bradley Company in Lodi ....and personalized by Teresa (that would be me =)
and being brought to life by Larry Viveiros (General contractor) from Gustine Ca.
sharing this video...nothing to do with the house...just enjoyed it...thought you might too.
