I picked up a couple really sweet Vintage Wooden crates from The Vintage Market the other day. I was originally looking for wire baskets ....but, these caught my eye and will be perfect for what I intend to do with them.
I'm gifting them to a couple of friends- I call them "Christmas Baking Gift Containers." {wish I could think of a clever name for them- any ideas?}
I plan to fill them will all things needed to wrap baked goods in for gifting. {A gift that's for gifting =)
- Paper baking containers for gifts of different shapes and sizes- loaf, bunt, cupcakes and cookies.
- Cupcake flags
- Ribbon
- Blue, red and green twine
- Frosting spatula
- Sprinkles
- cupcake design tattoos
- White paper bags
- Cellophane bags
- Die cut cupcake holders
- Gift tags
I put all the items in the containers- tied with some burlap and ribbon then added a little greenery from my yard.
All ready to give- I love using Vintage containers to put gifts in- like wooden crates, wire locker baskets, enamel bowls, vintage lunch tins, old metal tool containers....etc.
Loved the patina on the end of this Vintage container- Sweet.
I prepared this post several days ago....but, post delayed it {did you know on typepad you can post delay a year if you want?} to show up today- I didn't want Sandi & Ruth to see it before they received them.
Sandi, Ruth, Cindy and I served in the Stake YW many years ago- since then we get together once a year for a little reunion. {sorry, that Cindy couldn't make it this year.=(
This year we are doing breakfast, lunch & a Christmas House tour- and of course our annual Christmas gift exchange. {Ruth planned this years event.....I planned last years...see it here.}
Happy Day.
