Here at Dad's life is much slower than home. Dad is battling cancer but still finds the energy to take care of his girls {chickens too =)
At Dads-
- long talks
- Dr. visits
- big sky
- old buildings
- Martel, Hollie and kids
- shakes and french fries
- country music
One morning while tending to the "girls" Dad mentioned that if they didn't start laying more eggs he was going to have to eat a few of them....the next day all but one laid an egg.
The town that Dad lives in loves their country and service men, every holiday the Boy scouts put flags in front of all the homes in the morning and then take them down at sunset.
Lots of old building...but they know how to dress them up.
I have plenty of time to work on Church projects while at Dads- I made 60 name tags for our Stake Primary Activity day, 2 banners, listened to 6 talks on Cd, cooked tons and read two books.
Dad works to keep his yard nice...
The people around Dad are so nice to him.....one neighbor calls him everyday and Hollies Dad who lives next door mows his lawn for him. It's sweet to see the grand-kids stop in ...he is loved where he is. Hollie finds time to take him to Dr. appointments...even though she too, is recovering from Breast cancer. My Brother stops in early morning and some nights...if Dads lights are on. He is loved.
Interesting "old" things everywhere you look-
Life is a little bit slower when I'm at Dads- I even saw a airstream Bambi...one day I want to own one.
