It seems we have been in a party mood lately..... April and May are wonderful months to have little get together....because the weather is perfect.
Last Saturday we had our annual High Counsel get together. {Take a look at a past party.}
On the menu-
Fire pit melted cheese and cracker appetizer {put a 1 inch square cube of mozzarella cheese on a stick melt in coals until melted almost ready to fall from the stick.....squeeze between to crackers top with a slice of hot pepper, tomato or Harry and Davids sweet tomato onion and pepper dip.}
Tri Tip Steak {It's a California thing}
Chicken
Beans
Salad
Baked Potatoes
Grilled pineapple and ice-cream
We started off down at the fire-pit for appetizers.
I planned on using some of the items from the Spring event.....like the Burlap table toppers and the sliced oak logs.
For the centerpiece I just gather up some flowers from around my garden....put them in simple vases and set them on top of the sliced oak log.
Heidi was a big help...the day before the party she showed me how to make these adorable little fabric flowers....plus she helped me make 21 of them.
Tip- after the fact.... Heidi and I learned about a fabric glue {mentioned in the video} so much better than burning your finger prints off. =)
