We just returned home from spending some time at Shannon's, so I thought I would share all the big and little details that went into a great time.
Shannon & Scott made us feel completely welcomed in their home. The guest bed was cozy, the towels soft, beautiful fresh flowers, and fabulous food.
{Papa and Anna heading out for their shopping date.}
So here's all the details, big and little that help to make our visit special.
Working-
One of the reasons for going to Shannon's was to help them put in mow strips in their backyard- We were lucky enough to have a window of dry weather to get the job done. But feel bad for Scott because he will be cleaning it up on his own. Because of the wet and cold weather the cement will take longer to dry.
Conner was a trooper- working right along side the big boys and holding his own.
Mason was the "finish" guy. He also did a fabulous job.
Shopping-
Okay, so while the guys were working we had to do our part. We took on the heavy task of shopping....someone had to do it. Pushing a heavy shopping cart around is hard work.... but we did manage to have a little fun.
The Temple-
While at Beehive clothing {I ran into Rochelle & Jenn -- they saw Me first and recognized me from my blog & said hi, how fun is that?! It's a small world in blog land}, we then had lunch at Applebee's, and went to the mall to get Shannon a Easter dress.
The Princess Party-
Okay, so I thought it would be fun to have Anna help me plan a little party while I was there. {you know me and parties} I had brought a few things in a bag and didn't really know how it was going to turn out....kind of left that up to Anna.
As we began planning... Payton asked if he could work with us. Of course and how fun!
Payton came up with the invitations and basically from there we got our party theme- He drew a Princess Castle on pink paper. And so the "Princess Party" was born.
Anna picked the Menu-
Pizza, pears, and cake- YUM!
We spent the next couple of hours- decorating, and planning how the event would go....actually that was all Payton- he planned a puppet show, parachute game, and also had the great idea of putting a party horn by each persons plate- Thanks Payton!
Anna so thrilled with how her own centerpiece creation came out. Precious.
