The General Young Womens broadcast was yesterday and I have found myself running over and over in my mind the talks- They were all wonderful.
But I have to say- It was President Eyring's talk that has my heart feeling over joyed with the message he shared- I don't think I have ever heard a more, heartfelt, testimony building message. I can't hardly wait until the Ensign come out with it printed out. Here are few thought I remembered from his talk- I tried to write it down as closely as I could remember, of course hearing it from his voice is so much better.
Just as you have been marked as a target by the enemy of righteousness, you have been protected and watched over by your Heavenly Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. They know you, they know all the forces and individuals around you. They know what is ahead of you and so they know which of the choices you make, which of the desires you decide to satisfy, and which of the circumstances around you will make the most difference in keeping you walking in the light.
Because you are so valuable some of your trails will be severe, you need never be discouraged or afraid. The way through difficulties have always been prepared for you. And you will find it if you exercise faith. You must have faith to pray to ponder the word of God. You must have faith to do those things and go to those places which invite the Spirit and Holy Ghost. He goes on to say- When you have walked in the light following the Savior- you will bring hundreds or thousands with you because you walked in the light."
His message was so touching- it was prefect.
After the Broadcast- we meet for refreshments- thought I would share a few photo's from the night.
Each Young Women who attended the Broadcast received a pink bracelet that said "Press forward with Steadfastness in Christ."
I used real sod- You can get it at Home Depot on Saturdays for $2. We always have to watch that budget!
We had several outdoor pub tables with candles - the girls seemed to enjoy that- just wish it was a little bit warmer.
The evening was wonderful- Plus it's always so sweet to see the girls come with their Mothers- {Which I miss- now that Shannon is a Mother herself} I hope she will let me tag along with her and Anna a few times someday.
These ladies are a joy to serve with- I'm learning so much.
{Note to Becca- I looked and looked to see if I could see your sister- I didn't see her- did you?} Becca's sister was singing in the choir.
