Yes, this has been the week of all weeks- Kent called Tuesday not feeling well- told him to go to the emergency room. Where after a few tests found out he needed his appendix out, and they planned on doing it in a few hours. So Dan found the first flight out to be with him. Things went fine- except for one of his professors who insisted that he show up for a test {it was 12 hours after getting out of the hospital} so Dad helped him hobble into class, and came back when he was done. I'm hoping Kent took some pictures...
The next day I gave my talk at the RS meeting {I think it went okay} Then today was my Spring Event- I had to cook the salmon for the first time.{Dad usually does it, but he was helping Kent} So it's been a crazy emotional week! Seems our family seems to put all the good or bad days together- Seems like when something good happens it happens all at once. {like two missionaries coming and going at the same time, marriages and graduations etc.} So this week we did a little bit of the worry with a little bit of the fun, and everything came out just fine.
*Added note- Mason came home from a camping trip, with Poison Oak, and had a near drowning experience in the Merced river- {the one we go white water rafting in} his Scout Leader pulled him and another boy out at the last minute.Mason actually thought at one point that he was dead or dieing. Why they were in the river in the first place without life jackets is beyond me! Oh and our septic systems failed and we had to have a whole new system put in. I must say it's been an interesting week.
Here is the Merced river and Mason all swollen with poison oak.
