Last fall I invited some of my friends to join me at the cabin for a little fall fun. Along with that....I put them to work planting daffodils. Look....they are coming up. (each year I plant at least 200)
“I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host of golden daffodils
Beside the lake beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.”
― William Wordsworth
I wanted to see how far along they were ....because.... another party is in the making- "A Day for the Daffodils"
While we were there-
Dan and I spent the weekend....just enjoying the lazy, quiet, peace of the cabin.
A new red swing for the cabin.
I love when spring is right around the corner....all the downtown restaurants bring out their cute little tables and chairs.
We did a little exploring this weekend....found a pretty little private lake...just a couple blocks above our cabin...who knew?! We may need to check into membership. We love the little lake just a couple miles down the road....but its nice to have choices.
and just before we left to come home- cast iron cookies. (I keep a supply of ready mix cookie dough at the cabin - quick and easy to make cookies in our little cast iron pans.)
Happy Day.
Coming up next- A Day for the Daffodils!
it look indeed peaceful and enjoyable time... beauty everywhere...glad for you!!
Hugs
