The new deck- Thanks to Kent, Denver, Mason, Sam and of course Danny! We love it. I think we spent most of our time out here....sleeping, eating and playing.

This visit we spent a couple days at two different lakes- White pine lake....just down the road from us and Alpine lake...about 25 minutes away.
White Pine Lake- is a small little quaint lake....perfect for floating and swimming....and a good place to paddle board.
When we visit this lake...I always feel like we have stepped back in time.
(located Just a couple miles from the cabin.)
This is a perfect lake for "lazy days of summer" In this little area there are- picnic tables, restrooms, a logging museum, play structures and a disc golf course that goes around the lake.
(come early to claim you spot on the beach...can get busy in the summer months. We were there by 11...and had our pick.)
Bring your floaters and play all day.
The local fire-station offers free for the day life jackets.... so worth it....the kids can swim all over the lake...and the adults don't need to worry about them....as much. (smile)
Lake Alpine. We love this lake...it is much bigger than White pines lake and the water is colder....but oh, the adventures here! The lake has several free standing islands....that can either be swam/wadded to or get in a canoe and paddle there.
In the area...there are restrooms, hiking trails, a little cabin resort, boat launch....no ski boats. and rental of paddle boards, canoes and small self powered boats.
I have tons of pictures- (smile)
I like to call this Lake---the Tom Sawyer lake....so full of adventure and always different each time we go.
There is also a very nice paved path pretty much all the way around the lake.
We know this special little way to get to a part of the lake....that's kind of hidden away and has a little private beach.... if you what to go...email me and I will let you know about it.
The kids spent hours exploring....kind of like Lord of Flies....well, kind of...all the exploring part without the gross parts.
Here's the part where I share tons of pictures...just saying. =)
Skipping stones with papa
Exploring with Mom/Shannon
(a little helpful tip- if you go....bring a waterproof bag for you camera and water shoes....the islands are full of awesome things)
The island the boys claimed as their own.
Yes, it was a beautiful full day of exploring and relaxing! This lake is awesome!
We spent the rest of the week...just chill'in ....Conner even got a lesson in auto mechanics.
We love these kids! What a fun time! Can't wait for them to come back.
Happy Day.
thrilling fun I see.. pretty photos too..I want to go there - wink!
