Stations @ The Vintage Spring Sorbet-

Today's post will be about the different stations we had at the Vintage Spring Sorbet.

Name tags & Welcome-

Sandi made all the name tags and presented them at the sweet little welcome station seen below.

Welcome Leslie- so nice to finally meet you.  {we meet through my blog} 

Photo Booth-

We had several areas around the property for Photo opportunities.

This area... I believe was the most popular area for a "Photo"-

It made me smile seeing everyone getting in on the fun-  Here are a few pictures from around the area.

The white bench was used a lot- Even Ellie and Eli got in on the action.

The Hanging frame and blackboard were a big hit- A little about the blackboard- we had each of the ladies cut a butterfly and then glue it to the board along with writing in one word.

The blackboard started off with the Butterfly quote a couple branches from my willow tree a couple banners and a little art work...the ladies added the rest.

Notice the cute name tag =)  Love reading everyone's word.

Water Station-

Ruth was in charge of this area- and oh, how wonderful she made it. Not only could you get a drink; you also could get a snow cone cup filled with candy.

Not only did she have the water station, but she was selling tea towels and aprons too.

Sorbet Station-

Wildest flavor- Bacon,Strawberry, banana, coconut surprise- only the brave dare taste.

Why we have the Spring Event-

Many have asked why we have the Spring Event.   This is why.....for you, Mothers, daughters, sisters and friends.

 

Shannon and Friends-  These girls drove a combined 1250 miles to be  together at the Spring Event. Read their story here.    Some have drove from as far away as Texas to renew and rejoice in their friendship. {Becca & Allison.} And so many other stories just like theirs.

 We are inspired by . . . 

Women who love being mothers

Women who are happy, positive, and determined

Women who share their goodness, their light, and successes.

 

Tomorrow will be such a day...when women of all ages come together to enjoy life longs friendships, spend time with their daughters and Mothers.  Laugh, be silly...just have fun.

Sewing up a little Inspiration-

The girls {Sandi and Ruth} and I have been sewing up a storm- just sharing a little sorbet sewing inspiration. {All those yummy sorbet colors- fun}

Oh, what can we be sewing?- just have to wait and see.

Since we are on the topic of Inspiration-

 

Becca from Inspiration Salon-{check them out on FB- Inspiration Salon in Turlock} will be one of our presenters at the Spring Event- she will be showing us fun things to do with our hair-  perhaps you will be one of the lucky models........It's going to be a blast.

Rainy Day work Day-

"She made the choice to see the beauty all around her."

We gathered together for a Spring Event work day- Prefect beautiful rainy day- {rain means more green grass.} 

Lots of planning.

• Banners
• kites
• jars
• lunch
• etc. etc. etc.

Not sure why, but all three of us took turns humming or singing....

"I'm singing in the rain just singing in the rain."  =)

4 months to go- making magic

When planning for The Spring Event, one of the first things that is decided is the look and feel that we want for the event.

A big part of this is the color scheme. Oh how we love a good color scheme!  This year, we put together a large “style” file with lots of inspiration.  The file just keeps getting bigger and bigger.  Help, how do we stop?

Putting together this file helps give me a kick of creativity?  What do you do when you feel a lull in your creativity?  Pinterest helps me.

Pay it forward-

Sandi stopped by the office last week bearing gifts- a little loaf of pumpkin bread. {so adorable, I would of loved to have a picture...but the boys didn't give me time....it was so yummy.}

I was thinking how sweet that was of her to stop in for no reason at all...."just because"..... which got me thinking, I need to "pay it forward".

This is what I came up with- One tiny little plant {cyclamen}

One cellophane bag- tied with twine.

One cupcake holder 

All from thinkgarnish.com- we will be using some of their awesome items at the Spring Event.

I love making list.....mainly because I like the feeling I get when I cross something off the list; I feel like I have    Accomplished  something that day. Lately, I find myself making lists all the time....but not the "chore" kind of list, but lists of....

Do you like making lists?  Lists are powerful.....I can't remember a time I didn't have a binder full of pictures and dreams.

Lists help me to see the "good" in my life. Perhaps you might consider starting a list of the things you love.

We were standing around the other day.....talking and planning for the Spring Event- we always want to make it the best fun for you....which gave us the thought....why do you come?  Here's a few reasons you have given us why you have come before and why you are planning to come for the first time.

About 1 year ago I came across your blog on Sugardoodle (one of my favorite sites) and enjoy the activities you post of you and your family. I also am a Mindy Gledhill fan. A couple of friends and I think your Spring Event would be a perfect girls get away.  I live in Morgan Hill which is only about 12 miles south of San Jose. Thanks!

I've been 2 or 3 other times and have really enjoy the day’s activities.  This year I invited all my sisters and mother to come from Arizona and make it a girl’s weekend!  I'm so thrilled that they are coming and we get to spend this fun day together.  I'm thrilled that Mindy Gledhill is coming and I get to see her in concert for the first time.  And the vendors that she gets to come always have gorgeous things for both inspiration and to buy.  I just wish next April would come more quickly!

The Spring Event is the perfect opportunity to forget the tediousness that sometimes comes with being a mom of young children, and just focus on the beauty and joy of being ME. I love the chance to dress up and enjoy all things feminine (things that my husband just doesn't "get"). From the lovely boutique items for sale, to the menu, to the charming  vignettes, to the other beautiful women of all ages I have a chance to meet and mingle with - it is the perfect setting to recharge and be inspired.  It is the perfect way to spend the day with any kindred spirit, whether they be family or friends, or just someone you are hoping to get to know better.
