Today.... one week left....and then we no longer will be living at the Mill house. We sold her about a month ago...the new owners were kind enough to let us rent back for this last month.
Our new home is still not finished....so we are kind of homeless...well, not really. Between the cabin, kids and hotels we will be just fine.
We have some very fun things planned for May to help keeps us distracted. Within hours of leaving this home we have a Vintage VW coastal trip planned....then I leave for France and Danny will be visiting Kent....so don't feel sorry for us. (smile)
Moving....is not one of my favorite things to do....I hate all the disorder it brings, I like things to have their place. There is though, one good thing about it.....scaling down - when you have to pack and carry something to a new place....it really makes you think if you want it or not!
This pile of boxes are joy to me...we have been storing all the light fixtures, appliances...well, everything that adds the personality to our new home .... and in one week....it will be entering our new home....I hope!
In a move life still marches on....work, Church and family happens in all this chaos.....and I believe that is the only way to survive a move.
I babysat these darlings for a few days this week.... and we celebrated two birthdays- Carlee 10 and Alene 2. (they share the same birth date)
And the paint! I love it. (this is the jack and Jill bathroom) I told the painter I wanted the walls and trim to look like Milk and cream... and strangely enough he understood me. (I'm a dairyman's daughter; when I was a little girl I would carry the bucket of milk fresh from cow to our home. As it sat in the bucket the cream would separate and come to the top of the milk....I love that look )
The walls are Swiss coffee and the trim is polar bear. (home depot)
One more week!
Remember if you are also doing the challenge let me know how it is going.
