(Mood board for Poppy Hill Living Room)
I have so many ideas in my head, I sometimes don't know the direction I was going in a room design until I didn’t like where it was headed. (smile)
But once I started piecing together room design ideas onto a mood board? Boom. Instant game change.
I take pictures of things I have and find pictures of things I would like in a room (pinterest is awesome for pictures)....then I just start putting the room together.
(in the olden days I would make my mood boards by cutting pictures from magazines to make a collage...much easier this way...but I do still keep a binder...still need to see it on paper. =)
I can usually tell right away if I like things together.
I like to call the game..."do they play nice together" I can add or take away pictures to my hearts content....and bonus...no money spent....so no worries.
It's kind of my way of making sure I'm going in the right direction ...before any money is spent. Then once I come up with a plan...I start shopping .
There's another game I play its called...how can I get this look for less.
Which can be really fun until its not. (smile)
I make my mood board in Picmonkey, really user-friendly (not to mention free.)
I don’t have Adobe Photoshop software- it seems overwhelmingly complicated and costs a pretty penny.
I’ll warn you now: Designing rooms like this can get super addictive.
Start something new...just for fun! (It is easy and free)
