Banana Cream Pie, collections and goals.....I know kind of a strange combination for a blog post. But, here it goes.
Do you collect? I do... I've limited myself to just three things.....and I don't let them take over the house.....they have to fit in a certain area...if not...time to delete something.
I collect-
- old blue/green jars or glass of any type.
- Mercury glass
- old mirrors
I have most of my collection of old mirrors up in the CV Guest bathroom. There are a couple vintage mirrors here though.
The top oval one...is from the 30's ...I just receionly painted it with gray chalk paint. The white star brust mirror not sure how old it is...when I bought it; it was a copper color.
There you have it all three collections in one picture. Mirrors are great.
Share with me what you collect.
Now on to Banana Cream Pie Oatmeal- as I stated in an earlier post. Dan and I are working on eating better.
For Breakfast this morning- Recipe from Gourmet Nutrition cook book.
This really did taste like Banana cream pie.
A few things I did different with the recipe.
-
I doubled the recipe to have some oatmeal ready for the next couple of days.
-
Used Almond milk instead of regular milk
-
Used 1/2 scoop of the vanilla whey protein (because didn't want the added calories}
-
I also topped it with coconut flakes

Introduction
This recipe combines fresh bananas and coconut milk – a beverage made from the meat of mature coconut. Packed with anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal agents, coconut milk is not only delicious; it’s also very good for you. If you like the taste of piña coladas, you’ll love this oatmeal recipe.
Instructions
In a small pot bring milk and coconut milk to a boil over medium heat. Add the oats. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until milk is absorbed (approximately 7-10 minutes), stirring occasionally. Combine 1⁄4 cup of water with protein in a separate bowl. Mix with a fork until protein is dissolved. For a smoother consistency, mix powder with water in blender or food processor and blend until protein is dissolved. Pour protein mixture and bananas over oatmeal and serve. Serves 2 large or 4 small.

Dream really big
I don't want to limit or tie myself down to just one idea or goal.
That way I am more open to go with "the flow of things" sometimes the best achieved goal is the one you have been preparing for all your life but didn't know you wanted. {smile}
For me sometimes the best success I have in
reaching my goals; to be open, ready and prepared when the time comes....to just
make it happen.
So, there you have it Banana Cream Pie, collections and goals all wrapped up in one post.
Happy Day
