The Mill House- before.

Last week we closed on the Mill house, and we couldn't be happier. She is a sweet little house in perfect condition....plus we knew the wonderful people that lived there. {So she has a beautiful little spirit about her.}

Now, I know you may be thinking...hey, wait, I thought you would get a fixer upper.....well, we usually do. This place was just too perfect for our needs to pass up.

It's one level....smaller than the cottage, landscaping done to a "T" ! Perfect for us during "nut season"

So with that being said...and if you know me.....you know I love to "create" my own place.

So, my focus on The Mill house will be-

How to create your own style in a home built for someone else. I think a lot of us buy homes that had previous owners.....and often wonder how to create our own place using what is already there.

{Buying a home in perfect condition can be in my eyes harder to create your own style...then if you bought a fixer upper....in a fixer upper its easy to change unsightly things for something new....but much harder in a home with beautiful fixtures etc. }

So using what is in this home....I plan to add my style using: color, texture and staging.

I hope you will come along on this journey with me....I have some fun ideas ahead.
