Saturday between conference sessions I decided to check out a couple local "thrift/antique" store.
I've had in my mind for sometime a style of buffet that I wanted to put in the cottage dinning room, well, happy day, I found it yesterday......and Holy cow for a steal too!
So I brought it home...had Danny help move it into the dinning room.... then it just sat there staring at me until after conference....then I went to work.....
Two hours later this is what it looked like-
Painted it with left over paint-
Hawaiian Sky- {dutch boy}
Painted the knobs white... then glued sea shells to them.
I roughed up the edges a little so the deep red would show through....how lucky that it was already painted red....perfect color to have show through as it gets knocked around.
Come take a little buffet tour or as Danny likes to call it "Under the Sea" buffet.
Well, I think my patience paid off....I've been checking out thrift/antique store since June.
Happy Day....I found it at "Almost New"
Oh and one more, I love how when I cook I now have a fun little view.
I'm joining in the show and tell link over here. {My Romantic Home} tons of wonderful ideas.
