"Children, Remember your Parents"-- that is a often used statement-
How about this statement- Grandparents remember your grandchildren-{something I just made up} I thought I would share with you a couple of things I'm doing to help me keep a record of my grandchildren-
Each of my Grandchildren have their very own photo album at my home- where I collect one picture of each year of their life. {I color code them so each family has their own color}
As part of my "January Goals- balance living" I have updated each album- even got Preston's up to date- {His new album just came in the mail yesterday!}
Each family also has their own special "color code" box that all those extra fun pictures can go into.
Plus I've ordered a large binder for each family- for their family photo's.
Now I can't take credit for much of this- my daughter gave me the ideas years ago- Here are a couple other ideas given to me as gifts from Shannon and Heidi that are helping in the "remembering grandchildren" department.
Send DVD's of your children to your parents-
Make special little books and cards- {they are always treasured!}
I've also ordered a special binder for each family, that I will be putting all the sweet art work my grandchildren send me- That way I have a save place to store them.
I love being a Grandparent-
{This is one of the goals I set for myself- as part of "Finding a Beautiful Life" to see what others are doing link over to the Inspired Room}

Working on this month-

I love the ideas. It's very simple and organized. I would like to try it too. Did you have a special place where you bought your binders and boxes? I've got to do something with all the pictures I'm accumulating that will be fun for the kids to look through. So thanks for sharing.

What a cute idea and how fun for the kids to get to come to your house and look through them.

Oh, what great ideas you have! I love this! Grandparents can be such a blessing to grandkids. It is wonderful that you are taking the time to show them how much they mean to you and how special they are.
Blessings,
Melissa

What wonderful ideas and such inspiration. I have one darling little grandson and he will become a big brother in September. I am working on making an album of photos of him with simple sentences to aid in his learning to read. He seems to be his favorite subject lately as we snap his picture he wants to see it in the viewfinder and kisses a photograph I have of him in my living room. It is great to be two!
