While we were away playing in the sand, Sam was busy making dinner for us. The plan was to come back to the cabin after building a sandcastle, get dressed up for a dinner at dusk in the woods.
Sandi, Bree and I earlier in the day set up the tables, lights and a few decorations.
- roses and ferns
- tin floral plates
- marble place cards
- vintage tea cups for the salad
Our salad was served in vintage tea cups....sorry for the fuzzy picture, it is hard for me to take pictures when it is dark.
On the Menu-
- Casserole of- Beef and pork sausage with roasted veg.
- Strawberry, baby greens, nuts and cheese salad
- Grilled Brown sugar Peaches with ice-cream- (I was so busy eating I forgot to take a picture of this dessert...it was to die for!}
- The best garlic and cheese bread ever!
Sam was so wonderful to take a day away from his family and come to teach, cook and clean for us! Wow, we were lucky!
Part of the reason I wanted the ladies to dress for dinner was so I could get a picture of them in the woods....kind of a twilight meets the woods theme.
I kept teasing Bree that Edward was right behind her. =)
One by one I had the girls come out to the ferns for a picture....I was losing the light fast...so sorry if some of these pictures are fuzzy.
After dinner we sat around the fire-pit and shared some of our own personal history...we even got Sam in on it. What a wonderful evening.
We ended the evening by getting in the Hot-Tub (We didn't stop the party until around 2am....sorry Sam, he was sleeping in the bunkie and I'm sure we kept him awake)
Morning clean up-
So much fun has already happened and we haven't even started the cooking class....that will be next!
